Death Prodi's government announced did slip back Italy in the countryside election, never really ended because of political weakness, and the small number of parliamentary forces in the Senate that supports it. This is a time for Italy to confusion and bewilderment. Winds in the citizens a lot of distrust in politics and institutions that seem to be fighting each other. A rugged country in politics and in society as we is said by many observers as an important sociological research analysts and write papers. The atmosphere that you feel is not the most cheerful and more often heard words from the mouths of citizens not only disappointment but also of despair in the democratic system, its rules and its procedures.
The political forces in the field often use the word people, they say, must be the people to decide. It is a term (the people) that if you have a great charm is ambiguous even if we use that many dictatorships and totalitarian regimes have done as well as extreme forms of populism, characterized by charismatic leaders, they have abused to limit essentially democratic freedoms.
Currently in Italy is debating whether to return immediately to the polls or whether to establish a government institution (?) to achieve electoral reform and at least something else.
Who wants early elections, says that people (so is colloquially called the people of the media) want a new government.
One wonders if those who have asked the referendum for electoral reform are people or not. we mean the presence of two people or one people? There are two different people, one of which, who wants to vote has more say that the other wants to reform the voting system?
Mine is a pointless discussion understand. In fact I do not want to enter the political contest. Lately, as you can see from my recent posts to address issues of "general". reflects, at least I try . I strive to understand the problems of our democracy. Difficult problems. In that regard I just want to give a few suggested reading to reflect on the "fragility" of democracy and how we must be careful and be vigilant because they do not lose consistency or be transformed into another.
There is an illusion. Some people think that democracy is something that once you start self-sustaining and automatically increments, so that there is no risk to degenerate. I think instead that it must be constantly monitored and revived, or may advance the indifference, distrust, and why not, illiberal and undemocratic forms of public management.
So I want to suggest some readings stimulating and interesting, not at all heavy (this is for the lazy):

of this' I dwell on the last chapter entitled Ten points , in which they are exposed in the form of the Decalogue, "the contents of the minimum necessary ' democratic ethos." As the same author, to see them so exposed, just one behind the other, creating some confusion in comparing between what the ideal requires that it should be and what the practice proves to be.

As for the quality you need of "words precise, specific, direct, emotional low, a few metaphors, let talk things through words, words will not grow and other words not the flood that wears out and confused. "
I have the impression that there is much to ponder in order to act better.
